The facilities of La Marquesa Golf hosted last Sunday the XIV edition of the ‘Virgen del Rosario’ Golf Championship, a competition that this year has exceeded the expectations of participation and has generated a great sports environment that made participants and the public enjoy. The priests of the Municipality of Rafal Silvia Pastor and Yeray Paredes attended the awards ceremony, who highlighted the high participation in a championship “that is already a classic of the circuit of the Vega Baja”.
Regarding the classification, in the modality ‘medal play’ the winner was José Andreu Ribera and in second place was Joaquim Mhyr. In the stableford mode, the first classified was Lola Rodes and the second position went to Trino Mínguez.
The mayor of Sports, Yeray Paredes, has indicated that “in Rafal we have spent fourteen years betting on this sport and framing it within our Fiestas to give it even more importance”. Regarding the participation, he assessed that “as the years go by we note that the event brings together a greater number of lovers of this sport, in addition to making people visit Rafal, get to know our town and have contact with its people, who always is willing to offer the best. ” He also stressed that “from the Consistory we will continue to support the championship so that it continues to be one of the acts of this important holiday for all the people of Raphael and Raphael.”
